Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing
At Cusgarne Primary School, we are committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all our pupils. We work in partnership with the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to provide early help, guidance and targeted support where needed.
We promote positive wellbeing through the Five Ways to Wellbeing:
- Connect – building strong, supportive relationships
- Be Active – encouraging physical activity and healthy lifestyles
- Take Notice – developing mindfulness and awareness
- Keep Learning – fostering curiosity and confidence
- Give – promoting kindness and a sense of community
Through our curriculum, explicit teaching of Zones of Regulation, everyday interactions and targeted support, we help children develop resilience, confidence and the skills to manage their emotions. Where additional support is needed, we work closely with families and external professionals to ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn.
